Hey I was needed this to distribute programs; I have alleg42.dll; I actually couldn't find alleg44.dll on google. I want to think it makes it for you somewhere when you compile? I don't have access to my computer for the moment so I can't check, but I don't remember seeing it. Is it in the include folder or what? If its the sort of thing I'd be able to find in those files, I apologize, I just don't remember seeing it

It's built when you compile the source. It should be in <allegro root>/lib/<compiler> (<compiler> is usually mingw32 or msvc).

I found it first in system32 (of course) but thanks though.
