Starting this summer, it will allow developers to sell subscriptions in the App store. So, for example, magazines can charge a monthly recurring fee, and game companies can sell more levels once a player has completed a certain stage.
Woo!
Also: The new quoting system requires more typing
I'm just hoping that stuff like this won't be too profligate (EDIT: an actual image from the Apple announcement):

I suspect that clicking 'cancel' might take you to a "Oh. Well good luck with all of that." prompt...
Also: The new quoting system requires more typing
It doesn't require it. It just benefits from it. Most people didn't actually specify the person they were quoting before so it's really no more typing for them. I prefer to be complete though.
I'm working on custom JS for an auto-quote button though...
Unnecessary spoilers definitely require more typing.

I just posted this from my test auto-quote button. It lets you mark multiple posts for quoting, and generates the quotes when you go into an edit box. Right now, I have to filter from HTML back to mockup.

Obligatory screenshot and threadjack, mainly because app store sucks anyway:

I re-marked your post for quote for the screenshot.

Thats too funny. Yes lets hope that doesn't happen

Hey by the way, do you think you'll be able to live off iPhone apps someday?
Hey by the way, do you think you'll be able to live off iPhone apps someday?
I technically already do; but am no longer doing so on a self-employed basis. I used my stuff to get myself an iPhone development job with a firm that previously had no games or iPhone section.
It is interesting how they put the Buy where the Cancel button is usually found. Is that standard in Apple, or an attempt of making the user click it to buy it by mistake?
I did have to check, but that's the normal way around, both on the iPhone:

And the Mac:

Aha, thanks for the clarification.
