Code Adam advice
Bob Keane

I was at the supermarket recently when they announced a code Adam alert. For those of you who do not know, code Adam means a child is lost. The description was the child was male, had blond hair and wore a khaki jacket. If you have children, please take a picture of them with a digital camera if you take them out. It will make identifying them easier.

I used to work in a supermarket and always dreaded the thought of a Code Adam happening. Thankfully it didn't.

Good advice though.

Doesn't that then stop you from stopping a child if you find him because you then might end up being accused as being the abductor?

Vanneto

Wow, now thats smart.

I doubt that, in the absence of the child's testimony to the contrary, people will disbelieve you when you say you just found them.

Code Adam doesn't mean theft of a child. It means the child is missing (and could be taken). If you find a child, you tell an associate working there. Obviously if you're stealing a kid you wouldn't be telling anyone.

It happens all the time at Sam's Club. But it's just dumb ass parents who don't watch their children enough to notice them running away.

In a morbid sense, they deserve to lose their children. It's not like there's a Code Adam to protect those children outside of stores. It's the parents responsibility to guide and protect them.

Nonsense! It's all the TV and movies and internets and liberal media.
