X-Men fans... Pronounce Gambits last name (LeBeau)
Tron Boy

Please settle a debate for me. How do you pronounce it.

Bruce Perry

I have no idea. I can't remember much about the film. However, it looks French, in which case an anglicised pronunciation would be:

luh-BOAH. (Same vowel sound as in 'boat'.)

Tron Boy

Yeah. Actually I don't think anyone pronounced his name in the film. THe French thing would be right, as he is cajun. But I always said it was pronounced the way you said. The BEAU sounds like Bow in bowtie or bow and arrow.

My cousin swears the BEAU sounds like the first part of beautiful or buick. But I could have sworn I heard it my way, back on the fox cartoon.

Anyway, you're 1 vote for my pronunciation! : )

X-G

Fnarh, I agree with the teletubby. Luh-Bow.

Paul Pridham

Actually, it would be more of a "leuh-bow" sound, with the "leuh" sound similar to the "oo" in "look."

Bruce Perry

I did say 'anglicised' :)

French: ləbo
English: ləˈbəu

So Matthew, when are these boards going to support Unicode?

True, because he wasn't in it ::) And you're right and your cousin's a moron :) Now for the bonus question; how do you pronounce Gambit's wife's last name (no, it's not LeBeau)?

Tron Boy

Boo-droe? (boo as in food and droe as in toe?) : )
