sites for selling software

I would like to make some money with programs I've written myself. ( I want that CANON 25-105 USM L lens ;-) )
I saw a site where you can sell or give away your games "itch.io"
But that is for games. Is there such a site for other " non game" software ?

I don't have time to build a webshop myself...
( and I couldn't if my life depended on it...)

any advice is welcome..

Have you considered joining one of the big 3 -- Google, Apple, or Microsoft -- and selling your application (or "app") using whichever platform? That's the easiest way to let the system do much of the heavy lifting for you.

If your software is any good and it runs on Windows, you should consider Steam. It's by far the biggest Windows games marketplace and it also sells non-game apps. I tried selling a game on itch.io a while ago and even the free version barely had any downloads. Then I made a couple of grand in a month on Steam, and it was just a crappy 10-year-old game re-launched on Steam.

Isn't steam very demanding in it's requirements ?
How does it work, do you need to pay for an account first or ?
