Author's Description: Spacewar! versus Warning Forever.

Destroy the hellspider, then quake in terror as it returns in a new and more horrifying form!

The player's ship in this game handles a bit like the ship in Asteroids, but the point of view is fixed so the world seems to rotate around you as you turn. I had fun writing that part. The hellspider also operates according to a reasonably accurate rigid-body physics model, with moment of inertia etc taken into account.

Thanks to jph wacheski for many of the sound samples used in the music!

  • 8I REALLY like the concept of rotating playing field, that's awesome, but I don't like the laggy behavior of the ship (maybe realistic, but this is fantasy genre anyway), I'd like the ship to respond (turn, accelerate etc) faster, instantly. Also IMO the overview map dots (ships) should be bigger.
  • 7This is a brilliant concept. The game is very well made and everything about its presentation is top-notch. I just don't get how you are supposed to play it properly. I end up flying circles around the hellspiders hoping some of my shots connect. I would like it more if I could focus on offense.

Linley HenzellNot much to put here. Writing games is fun. I don't have a proper website at the moment, so click on the Depot link above to see my Allegro games. (View Profile)
