Author's Description: Text Mode 2000 was my attempt to start a brand new series of text-mode based games crossing all genres. I got a couple games for it 99.9% finished before other responsibilities made it impossible for me to continue work on it. The original idea was to have three free games included with the program by default, then release paid games as DLC three times a year, each for just $2.

The two virtually completed games in the project as it stands are:

"Jade Fighter" - Turn-based gladiatorial combat with procedurally generated weapons, various traits, types of competitions, and an emphasis on finding ways to skew the odds in your favour, since a lot of the game comes down to manipulating probability.

"Pellet Panic" - An action game which looks like a Pac Man clone at first glance, but plays almost nothing like one. You arm yourself with procedurally generated weapons, special abilities and upgrades then power yourself up by collecting energy pellets. The higher your energy levels the more damage you do, with the ultimate goal being to destroy the beast lairs in each level.

The program as a whole also features support for X-Box 360 (or compatible) controllers, including rumble support. The installer installs most of the prerequisites needed to run properly, save for DX9 which is 10x bigger than the installer, so if you try to run the game and it complains about missing DLLs, you need to manually install the last version of DX9 ever released, which can be found here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
