Author's Description: Paratrooper 3D is, as the name suggests, a 3D (OpenGL) implementation of the classic
Paratrooper game. Shoot paratroopers and helicopters as they try to capture your gun.

This game originated as my entry for the speedhack 2002 competition 2002. It was written in a single weekend,
expanded and improved after that. In the mean time it features attack waves and sound. Music and more detailed models (as well as cool stuff like night missions) are scheduled for addition next.

I currently (dec 2002) don't have access to a machine with hardware OpenGL, so development will continue in March 2002.

What's New:

Some minor revisions so it builds with recent C++ compilers.

Finished work on attack waves: there are 20 levels in the game now, the last one will not end. Difficulty increases as the attack waves progress.

Added sound! It's a big improvement as it gives a lot of feedback when you hit something. Also, you can hear the choppers coming now.

The bug in targetting choppers is fixed. It's still hard to hit them, but at least now it's physically correct. Fixed displaying of colored transparant textures.

Added a radar screen to locate choppers and troopers (big improvement!), and a health bar to show the state of your cannon.
