Author's Description: This is my entry to the www.shmup-dev.com Options competition. It's a musical shoot-em-up influenced by rRootage, Radiant Silvergun and Rez.

Among other things it makes extensive use of Allegro's 8-bit transparency and palette shifting functions. It also uses the .wav sound functions to play music.

Version 1.01 is the final competition version. Version 1.02 is the final competition version plus a couple of minor fixes and rebalancings. Let me know what you think of it!

 • 9Excellent shoot'em up! nice ambience, nice weapons, nice 9/8 music and sound ambience, love it! (but I've never finished it)
 • 7Technically very well done, but for me the game only lasts for around 30sec to minute before I die. I probably should just practice more but IMHO there should be easier level, and (/or) the enemies should be further away from (eg bigger playing field). But thank you for great game, I'll keep trying.
 • 10This game is absolutely amazing! You have done an outstanding job. The music, the gameplay, the player customization...all piece very well together. At first it has a slight learning curve but its easy to get the hang of it after a while. Hell, ive spent an average of 15 hours playing this ...
