Author's Description: Future's End is a turn based space strategy game. Players control planets that battle across the entire galaxy.

Unlike traditional turn based games, Future's End gameplay is divided into phases: a planning phase where all of the players simultaneously choose an action for their planet, and the action phase where the chosen action is performed by every planet at the same time.

Rudimentary AI is available, but multiplayer support is the ultimate goal.

At this point, the main gameplay is complete. Future versions will seek to add multiplayer support, but other comments are still welcome.

The development is on hold as of now, but serious bugs can be fixed, and suggestions implemented as needed.

  • 6Really cool idea, but the game I played didn't end. I ended up in a stalemate with one of the computer players and neither of us could do enough damage to the other before jumping away. Even after reading the readme some aspects of the game were still confusing (e.g. the "cycle subspace" button.
  • 4Nice idea, this could turn into a good game. I'd like to see improvements to presentation, user interface and most importantly gameplay (more actions) - now it quickly degenerates into death beam tag. Something like a turn-based Star Control would be cool. ;) Has potential, will be updated later.
