I started in computers from an interest in digital electronics and don't trust anything if I can't see it's off switch. My first home built computer had a wopping 1K of RAM. Some of the young researchers where I work complain that their PC only has 1.5G of RAM! I'm interested in 3D simulations, computer aided machining, auto piolets for RC aircraft ... that sort of thing, etc.. I prefer DOS, but I also like platform independance, so some of my programming is switching to Java. For simulations, Allegro is still superior on my old machines. (View Profile)
