Author's Description: Babal is a Direct X version of the famous game which ran on ... HP 48 Gx calculators ! :-)

It's a 3D game where you control a ball over a checkboard whith holes, and you must avoid the holes !

It may be interesting for anyone who want's to see an example of Allegro 3D programming, to download the source. I must however warn you that it's realy hard to read due to lack of comments.

Overall Rating: 6.0
  • 4A nice idea, but it doesn't provide satisfying gameplay by itself. The game needs more complex levels (as in height levels, ramps, obstacles, enemies, something... not as in harder layouts). It also really needs a highscore list.
  • 8This game is kind of addicting, at first it doesn't seem too fun, then it gets better but the game doesn't change. The only problem is with the graphics, it's not even anything major, just a few droppings here and there.
The Developer
Dinaiz
DinaizI'm fond of programming, and that's actually my job, as I'm a new C/S engineer. I did only 2 games : a clone of nibbles in Turbo Pascal and a 3D platform game (though very simple !) in C with allegro, and that was some years ago. Now I'm considering starting again making games and that's why a just joined the allegro comunity. I also play the piano, compose music (got a lot of Xm modules done), and like to learn languages . I can speak French (my mother tongue), English , Spanish and a little bit of German which I'm trying to learn by myself, but it's far from being easy. (View Profile)
