Mac OS X bugs

A friend of mine told me that he found some bugs when testing Allegro on Mac OS X. So I asked him for the details to see if it's useful for the Allegro developers here:

Quote:

The bugs have to do with garbled graphics when switching between windowed
and fullscreen mode. There was also some multimonitor weirdness, but it's
been a since to ran the tests. Overall, Allegro did perform quite well.

DUMB has been ported to OS X. I think we've taken a look at it. Right now
Mike Austin has written is own sound effect mixer for OSX and is still
getting the same crashes as FMod... that points to a bug in the latest
release of OS X. We may be able to find a workaround, but I doubt we are
the only people affected by OSX 10.3.7 update.

Hope that's useful! :)

I'll forward this to the mailinglist.
I haven't seen Angelo on in a while though, he's Allegro's MacOS X guru, or at least the guy who did the port. Hope he'll catch it.

I've used full screen <-> windowed switching on OS X, and I've used DUMB, without seeing any problems on either. However I'm still on 10.2.x, so it's possible that something has been changed in Panther. It might be different if he's using video bitmaps, too (just guessing). Has your mate got a sample program that shows the problem?
