[WORLD CUP] thread |

I can't believe (despite the non-footballing Yank and Finish domination of the forum) there isn't a world cup thread yet, and just three days to go First matches, I reckon Uruguay will trounce France 2-0 England (2010 world cup winners) will have a shaky start as usual, especially with the world's worst referee, and just manage to beat team america 1-0. Hopefully Argentina will lose to Nigeria and the smugness will be taken off the dwarf-like (allegedly) drug-taking manager - no bias here then Germany will get a lucky win as usual and Spain will win. Football (what some people insist on calling soccer) is probably the favourite sport to watch in Israel (with basketball probably a close second place), but I don't care for it much. (it is fun to play, just boring to watch) So I'd say that denouncing certain demographics is unfair ---- |

Meh, Czech team didn't even qualified and even though I don't really fancy 22 sweating men running around a field kicking in the ball. Give me some women beach volleyball instead [My website][CppReference][Pixelate][Allegators worldwide][Who's online] |

Hey! Well, I want him to leave the team as well. He did a complot so he could direct it, and one of the players left because he didn't want to take part of so much corruption. I wonder what new meme will come from this World Cup. EDIT: Oh come on, don't tell me Neil and I will be the only ones interested on this. TranslatorHack 2010, a human translation chain in a.cc. |

The German team has list its Captain. Let's see, if this is really a problem. England will loose as always. They are not as good as the other big european football teams. I watched a british splatter movie some time ago. I can't remember the name. The funiest part of the film is the newspaper showing up a result of 6:1 for England playing against Germany. And the comment "playing against germany is war". The war is over since 1945, guys. And for sure the German team won the world cup 3 times because they are in luck. http://remote-lisp.spdns.de -- my server side lisp interpreter |

I don't know, the poll includes teams that are very important in the World Cup, but the USA? I don't really recall them like an opponent that could give problems. TranslatorHack 2010, a human translation chain in a.cc. |

I voted for Brazil, since my team (Greece) will not be as lucky this time as in Euro 2004. Brazil has lost its flavor though. It's no longer football showmanship. |

There was some nutty revolution at school today because the staff isn't willing to rent a good TV to see the world cup. In fact, they want to make the students pay for it, or otherwise they can't enter for that day, counting in one absence. I don't really care about that, I won't probably go those days anyways. The optometry thread is getting far more attention than this. A big part of the a.cc football crowd seems to be away. TranslatorHack 2010, a human translation chain in a.cc. |
