I got to level ten, password is coats. I wouldn't say its addictive because there is no way I'll spend on it since the graphics are so horrible.

I got bored waiting for the ball to stop bouncing on level 1 =( I don't think I'll try again.

Once there was stuff NOT to hit, my strategy of flinging the ball at high speed in the general direction of the triangles stopped working.

Beat it... It ends after the 20th level. I did not find it even remotely fun, mostly continued playing it because all of the skill required was methodically moving the mouse a pixel and clicking... and I wanted to see if that strategy would ever fail... it didn't.

SeigeLord what are you talking about?

I guess he means choose somewhere to aim for a starting location, then ever so slightly move for the next shot, then again, etc, etc... Until it works?

Aka, brute forcing.

I was already phrasing somehting like "Graphics is nothing, gameplay is everything". Then I started the game. And it said "Graphics is everything". HAHAHA.

And it said "Graphics is everything". HAHAHA.

And a storyline or a plot. Seriously, that game is good enough for Atari and would've made tons of money back then but there are so many mindless point and click games that are better, most of them are flash.

Meh. Trial and error game. With UI shortcomings.

Initially I found it interesting, but then I found one could easily beat it by carefully positioning the mouse and adjusting it pixel by pixel...but it was fun while it lasted :-).

I still don't see how you move the mouse pixel by pixel. (Do you wait for the ball to stop?) Because I usually click the reset button when I mess up. Unless there's a hotkey or something.

You don't have to drag, you just click where you want to fire. Then you wait for the ball to stop bouncing, move the cursor a pixel and click again.

I think it's hilarious that so many of you are saying it isn't fun because it's beatable... ::) Would you rather it had a lives system that sent you back to the start every time you failed three times? You'd either never beat it or waste exponentially more time playing it. I like that you can just keep trying. And I'm sure there are mathematics that could solve it perfectly every time if you knew them and worked it out. We're just brute forcing it because we don't have those mathematics. I, for one, like that I can keep trying.

I'm currently on Level 12.

Okay, I would never have the patience to wait for the ball to stop every time I attempt it -- that seems like a very slow and boring process. Reset button is for me.

Bammcaig -- good luck with level 13 -- it's quite hard.

I looked so close for Level 13! I got the ball to zig-zag sideways around the entire board, getting the outer circles, chevron, and triangle, but it misses the middle circle by like a pixel and nothing I do has any affect... :'(

bamccaig: What everyone is saying is that it isn't fun because you have to "pixel grind" to beat it. After the first couple of levels, skill ceases to be involved at all and instead it's pure trial and error in the form of pixel-bitching. It's about as interesting as a game of "Guess a number between 1 and 1000".

Well that's true, but I don't think you really have to. It's like a more complicated game of pool. You can either eye it up or you can learn the math involved in the table and just know what to do. Clearly, this game is more complicated than pool, but given the rules and constraints, there has to be math that can solve it absolutely.

I was actually just thinking that it would be cool to write a program that tried every pixel and then marked the winnable pixels for each puzzle. ;D That would be brute force. It would also show you the most show-worthy plays to make for a 1337 video.

That reminds me of those really interesting AI Mario programs. This one shows the calculated paths with several red curves.

That doesn't actually look very smooth considering it's computer controlled... :-/

It's superhuman dexterity that only a computer can achieve ;D Just like if you got each level in this game in the first try.
