Sorry.

I forgot that you're a bunch of narrow-minded rednecks who don't know how to read, much less put yourself into someone else's situation. It was foolish to think that anyone here would actually read what I wrote and try to reply without trying to be a wiseass who knows everything about everything (obviously illogically assuming a lot of things about me that nobody in their right mind would do).

Since you CAN edit your posts, which is stupid, I'm now "removing" this thread's body (replacing it with this message). Thanks for nothing and for wasting my time with your bullshit.

(The censorship on this forum is retarded, BTW.)

You could trying out a few new completely different things - take up a random sport (ultimate frisbee is fun :)) or maybe learn how to play an instrument, a foreign language, ANYTHING with other people. The more time you spend on yourself the more you'll continue to feel bad and wallow in self pity. I appreciate your need for support, but I honestly don't think that the internet is a good place to find it - there's no substitute for a real hug or a smile :). Happiness doesn't just happen, it's a conscious decision to be happy - it's really hard to start with, but if you feel you have nothing to lose then why not try it?

Also, have a big hug (but I advise you find someone who will give you one offline, as t'were :)).

Do ONLY what you WANT to do. Go code a game!

When it randomly replaces certain curse words, which is silly in the first place, it removes periods and stuff for no good reason.

You'll never know, if you don't try, right?
Maybe you are currently thinking that everything around you is pitch black, that it won't matter what you do, everything will just worsen your situation.
It's your choice: Continue to paint the world black or bring back color, pleasing yourself, by doing only those things you really want to do.
If your down and depressed, then your TOP PRIORITY goal IS to make yourself happy again.
Everything else will have to wait.

Talk to a psychologist could be a good idea, you seem depressed. If that's something you are not willing to do, then do something to change things in your life.

While that could indeed be good advice for some people, if he's anything like me, which there seem to be a relatively good chance he is, it will be about the opposite of what he would likely find useful.

------
My advice would be to avoid any and all excessive social contact, keeping to yourself as much as possible, and try to have as fun as possible. Do whatever you find the most entertaining. The more you can live yourself into it and forget everything else, the better. Then, when you feel you are ready, try to think through your situation carefully, concentrating on thinking out solutions to your problems. Ask for help wherever you know you will get useful practical advice, instead of useless sympathy and pity.

Just be careful not to lock yourself into an endless loop of conclusionless, negative thinking. If/when that start happening, it's time to concentrate on enjoying yourself again, as you will otherwise just get depressed and unable to come up with any solution(s).

Most retarded piece of advice ever. Do I sound like a person who doesn't know that I'm in a shitty situation? A psychologist won't give me money -- he/she will CHARGE me money (that I don't have).

Why do I even bother talking about this? I only get the expected replies anyway.

Joel Pettersson: That's right. I certainly don't want to have anything to do with most people, and those that I would want to hang out with live "too far" away. Like I wouldn't mind talking to other Allegators IRL, but I never really knew any "real" geeks in school and so. That's partly why I don't hang out with them (or anyone here) anymore.

Anyway... since quality doesn't matter to people, my Web stuff keeps failing. Since that's the only thing I know stuff about and which could possibly make me money, I'm pretty much fuc|<ed (and I'm not talking about a hot blonde).

Because your stuck with yourself and need external input/opinions enabling you to think clear again?

Your living in la-la land dude. It's pretty unrealistic to generate income from a site. You'd have to get alot of traffic and get alot of advertising to make a go of it.

You don't want to work.

You don't want to go to school to get a degree.

Your toys broken so you can't play with it.

:'( Wah :'(

We have a word for people like you were I'm from; 'bum'. So continue living off your parents and be happy with your life as a bum.

Bottom line is you've got to make oppurtunities for yourself. I have a pretty decent job right now. How? I met the guy who helped me get it in the Reserves. You've got to network and take what you can get when you can get it. So many diss Mcdee's, but you learn excellent work skills there. Help desks are the same way. These places have high turnovers so it can be easy to move into supervisory positions.

You need to expand your horizons. You only limit yourself.

Who knows? You are in desperate need of attention? You will certainly not get any advise here which you haven't already thought off and dismissed.

Couldn't you develop some web sites for small local businesses and institutions? Just to pay your food.

I still think that you should talk to a psychologist. It could help you, if you go through a doctor it won't cost you a lot. It is nothing to be ashamed off you know, being in need of some mental guidance.

How many people you know that make a living only from some sites? From one site?
How many of those people are like you who don't really want to work?
