I have finished my latest project:

Happyland Adventures - Xmas Edition.
The game uses an updated version of my last platform engine and has a lot of new cool features. This game is a full featured jump'n'run game a cute platform scroller in a christmas setting. Great Xmas music. Get into that cosy Xmas feeling. Included is not only the Xmas Edition, but also the complete original game and a level editor.

Merry Christmas!
Feel free to send me any comments!

It's probably the computer I'm on, it's my brother's, and I've never used this computer... but yeah... there ya have it... maybe if you compiled a DOS version it would work on this machine..? You should always do that for compatability ;).

Do you plan to release a Linux version ? I would be very happy to play your game.

Thanks.

First) DOS verison of the exe now available on my site. Add it to the rest of the installed files and go! http://www.dtek.chalmers.se/~d98peitz/happy/download/happydos.exe (200k)

Second) Linux version... Probably not, I don't have any linux myself (yet). Wait and see!

Bad luck...

If you need someone to compile for Linux, feel free to ask.

It's good but there is nothing like Operation Spacehog, when are you going to do the second part?

Hey, not a bad game! I would have been very impressed to see this if it came out when the original happyland did, but the concept is getting a bit old. Then again, so is everything...(blah blah)

But I still like it! Excellent job!

Great game.

How do you slide? I've tried it, like, a zillion times, but it doesn't work. Is there a trick to it?

I htink you need to run, then press down or something. I can only get it work on ice though :)

Ey, thanks a lot. I'm really glad you like it.
Ok, sliding... First, as Bob said, you need speed. Then press down, or what ever key you configured, and you will slide a short distance. You will slide longer on ice and on slopes.
CJ> Operation Spacehog... A sequel? Now that would be something... ;) Well, I have a few other projects in mind to do first, but you never know.

I think the "whatever key you configured" bit got me. I configured ALT to do the sliding, but I guess my keyboard doesn't like it when ALT and a cursor key are pressed at the same time. I set slide to use the down key, so now it works.
