About Zelda Classic: Zelda Classic is a highly functional and well-supported customizable remake of The Legend of Zelda for the NES. While it began as a simple clone of the original game, it extended far beyond that to become a comprehensive editing suite, allowing anybody to create their own Zelda style games, with unprecedented levels of customizability, all without having to rely on complex scripts.

Programmed by Dark Nation, DarkDragon, Takuya, and Koopa, and many others, we're constantly improving the capabilities of the engine every day, ultimately aiming for Zelda Classic to become the de facto standard of all Zelda-themed fan games.

Windows and Linux builds are up-to-date as of 1/23/07. Mac build will be updated shortly.

About the developer: I am a freelance software developer with 3 years experience in developing interactive applications such as games. Though I do not have a publicly released project to call my own yet, I do a great deal of work assisting other developers and providing my own input, which has led me to become a member of the programming team for a popular fan game.

• 10Awesome game/engine! I was very impressed with this project even in it's early days. Playing the included 1st/2nd quest is equivalent to playing the original game on NES which itself makes this worth a 5 for me. The ability to create and download custom quests makes this worth even more!

• 10I love this game. I was really into ZQuest a few years ago... and I think that's what actually got me into programming :). It's a very nice tool... also, the game has lots of quests available for it, which is awesome :).
