About PMan (temp name): My second game: a pac-man clone written in C++ using the allegro libs.
This is just a must-do-to-learn clone, but it has cute gfx and a few sounds; i've also added a few features...

NOTE: I *think* this should be cross-platform; if any issues arise feel free to mail me.

About the developer: I'm proud to be one of the, unfortunately few, italian developers here at allegro.cc.
I started to "make" videogames 5 years ago(2000) with the "almighty" rpgmaker; bored by the limits of this nice prog i decided to make my own game engine.
This is how i started to learn the art of programming.

• 4The player and the ghosts start too close together. Ghosts shouldn't be able to turn unless they'd hit a wall by moving forward. When run in windowed mode, everything outside the Allegro window flickers madly like it's constantly being redrawn. There is a weird fade/blinking effect that seems to have no purpose but to give me a headache. Wall joints look ugly. There is no highscores list and only one level. It's a decent start, but the game needs more work put into it to be worth playing.

• 6It's coming along pretty well. The pistol seems a bit powerful in addition to the normal power pills - perhaps start the player with less ammo, and replace power pills with ammo clips? Also, it'd be easier on the fingers to play if the player could just tap arrows to change direction, instead of having to hold them down at all times to move. Otherwise, it's looking good so far. I'm interested in seeing what it's like when you've finished this.
