Author's Description: Meteor 2 takes the pounding gameplay from the original Meteor to create a whole new game using a new sector based terrain engine.

M2 features full mod support, full-blown integrated editors, 64 player Internet/LAN play, 16 bit sector based graphics with Fblend dynamic lighting and SeeR runtime mission scripting. It maintains the feel of the original Meteor but with a considerably advanced engine offering far superior flexibility and video/sound effects. Expect everything in Meteor (and a little more) with a much nicer wrapping.

Includes
- A large single player campaign (also playable in coop mode).
- Loads of head to head maps for taking on your buddies.

Public Opinion
Overall Rating: 9.3
  • 9The iffy collision detection and wobbly path-finding don't seem to make a brilliant engine, but the single player mode is certainly fun. Haven't had the oppurtunity to play multiplayer, though.
  • 6Very good singleplayer game with enjoyable and exciting gameplay, but the amount of multiplayer bugs makes it unplayable.
  • 10This game is awesome! Its got more playability/modability than most commercial games, and its great for lan parties. Vehicle control is superb, and the game balance is incredible. (so is squishing people with tanks) IThe MP could use a bit of polishing, but its still 100% awesome.
