Author's Description: "G6! ...Hit!" Many people grew up playing "Battleship." Let's get one thing straight: Battleship 88 is NOT that kind of Battleship. Citing the inspirations for its gameplay mechanics as Mechwarrior 2 and Asteroids, the game plays more like a naval drive-by-shooter at 30 knots.

Now's your chance to take the commander's seat inside of Battleship 88, an American 1-ship-army raging the Pacific while evading the merciless crossfire of enemy Kamikazes, Torpedo Bombers, Junyo Aircraft Carriers, Destroyers, and Battleships. With tens of thousands of downloads worldwide, ranging from Japan to Australia, India, Europe, South America and all over the United States, Battleship 88 has attracted quite a fanbase.

  • 10SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!
  • 9I couldn't stop playing it until I beat it! The destroyers got annoying, but I slew them eventually. I started to unlock the cheats, but realized I was going to lose any semblence of productivity I still possesed, so I had to stop. Great game!
  • 9The gameplay, idea and concept for this game is very well-thought-out and smart (controls are easy to learn). I didn't give a perfect score because the last stages seem a little harsh; is there any way to beat'em? However long it took to make this game, I believe it was completely worth it! Great!
